Gravesend has deteriorated over the years.

Gravesend has deteriorated over the years. It is not worth visiting. The restaurants are few and far. I can recommend a superb local pub named the Compass: great beer and great company. Gravesend is not worth visiting (unfortunately). The last time I was there wad 1982 and it was a thriving market town but now …

Gravesend is a typical declining British town.

Gravesend is a typical declining British town. The high Street is poor, there are 2 shopping centres that you can go round in literally 5 minutes. If it wasn't for the fact that we have family connections there, we wouldn't bother with the place.

Our stay at the inn on the lake was lovely...our room.was comfy and well stocked with tea, coffee ect ...housekeeping was excellent staff were friendly and helpfull from morning till night . The gardens and soundering areas were nice and kept ... There were a lot of attractions in the area for young and old to do . And the best thing was I could take my dog everywhere with me on the premises.

Very nice small town with a beautiful promanade next to the river. Nice view on the river with the green area and benches that you can sit on them and relax. For short visit/weekend it's absloutely fine. For longer can be boring.

I liked the walk to the town the buses on time when you want to catch one. As it was nice day we walked. The town has plenty of life in it. Lots of shops. Asda.Mc Donald's and other shops to brows in.

A great location, the reception lady was good, the lunch option was poor, and the area was cold but the lady on reception brought a heater which was very good. Have evening meal but there was a lady with a dog that continuously barking . We left and went to our room. Tv could be bigger very small.

ROOM 11 (13/7/22) JELENA , the receptionist was awesome, very helpful. the hotel is very clean and tidy ,the bedroom was a good size , comfy bed and spotless. Bathroom was clean and everything worked. I met the cleaner who had done a great job ( South African lady ) well done.. I was chatting to a chap who works there and he gave me a lot of tips about the area . Breakfast was plentiful, hot and tasty . 10/10 to all the staff I encountered. I WILL BE BACK , AS WILL MY COLLEAGUES. Thank you for a great stay .

Location brilliant, big bedrooms but bed was small, the layout of the hotel was good. We loved the lake areas. Toilets were clean but all decor was dated. Entertainment was great on the Saturday. Nice dinner dance some of the food was excellent . All my family came too so a great weekend we went to ROCHESTER FOR THE CHRSITMAS MARKET . Fabulous market and we all had great time. The Arrow pub was excellent for meals .

Good value for money, closer to a 4 star hotel than a 3 star hotel. Having stayed in a different hotel every day over the last week, one of the biggest issues I've found is finding a quiet room. During my entire stay, I don't think I heard a single noise outside my room, making it very easy to relax. Staff were proactive and made sure not to keep you waiting. Free off-road parking.

I stayed in Shamrock Guest House a few times during my work-related trips. It has an excellent location, just 5 minutes walk from the town centre. It’s not luxuriously decorated, but it's very well equipped (fridge, microwave, etc) and super clean! The owner is so friendly and always tries to get me the best available room. I can highly recommend it.

Breakfast was sufficient, nothing fancy, a good mix of hot and cold options, cereals etc. Went during covid, so very limited staff service for breakfast and room service. Restaurant was well laid out and spacious. Good hotel for family and kids with an outside play area. Reception staff also very helpful with microwaving our food on request.

We love the apartment at this place, including having the kitchen, and our son loves the terrace with view of the river, it makes a visit to family in the area more special. The staff are great. The bar has been improving steadily over the last 10 years and the food and drink in there, and atmosphere, and great these days.

Very comfortable bed, spacious room. Nice decor and attention to detail such as plenty of sockets and hair dryer next to large mirror. Lovely outside decking area on pretty lake with weeping willows and attractive planting. Very good breakfast. Excellent value all round.
